Provenance: On the title page, in the upper left corner, a label bearing the original-language heading «Biblioteka Muzeum im. Dzieduszyckich we Lwowie» features the handwritten inscriptions «Sz 14a, № 24» and «A 1329». Page five bears an impression of a rectangular black stamp with the original-language text «Nr.inwentarza A-1329.» Also present on this page are the handwritten inscriptions «1990» and «Sapieha Alex. (*1773 †1812).» Additionally, the page contains an epigraph in French from an unpublished work by the author («Tiré des Ouvrages inédits de l'Auteur»): «Quand on se mêle d’écrire les voyages, il faut toujours avoir à ses côtés deux garants de la véracité de son récit, c’est à dire, la mémoire des impressions reçues, et une simplicité presque naïve dans sa narration. Avec des témoins aussi irrécusables, vous conjurerez la Critique, et braverez l’incrédulité affectée de vos ennemis et envieux.». Also found here are an impression of an oval purple stamp bearing the original-language inscription «Muzeum imenia Dzieduszyckich we Lwowie» and a round blue stamp with the inscription «Biblioteka Poturzycka J.W.D.»
